Mozart: Symphonies Nos. 24-27 & 32

Borrow from me

Sir Neville Marriner's Mozart performances are always reliable, if seldom inspired. They have the virtues of fine playing, sensible tempos, and good, clear sound. It's particularly rewarding to hear him in some of the lesser known symphonies, like these, first of all because there isn't so much competition from more high-powered performances, but also because the music deserves to played with this level of professionalism. A fine disc. --David Hurwitz
